BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Athanasios Tsiouras – Chairman

Athanasios Tsiouras has provided Legal Counsel to the Mayor of Athens since 2011. Mr. Tsiouras has also served as Legal Counsel to the Minister of Administrative Reform and e-Governance at the national level, where he was responsible for drafting legislation amending the Civil Service Code, among others. In his private law practice, Athanasios has participated in major cases before the Supreme Administrative Court of Greece, successfully arguing, among others, against campaign speech restrictions and environmental over-regulation. His legislative proposal (following a request by Mayor Kaminis) to simplify theater licensing has been adopted into law by the Greek Parliament. Athanasios holds a degree in piano performance from the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki and earned his law degree at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

John Kolovos

John Kolovos studied Mechanical Engineering in the UK, and Business Administration with Marketing major in the American College of Greece, graduating in 1985. From 1981 to 1996, he worked in various companies, in different sectors (Tourism, Manufacturing, Shipping and Services) in Greece and internationally, in sales management and business development positions. In 1996, he joined Accor Services as Commercial Manager and in 1997, he was appointed CEO. In 2010 Accor Services was separated from Accor and was renamed to Edenred, where he continues to this day as CEO. Yiannis Kolovos is a member in different associations, including the Hellenic Association of Enterprises (member of the Advisory Board), Association of Chief Executive Officers (member of the Board of Directors), Hellenic Management Association (member of the Board of Directors till March 2018), and Greek Personnel Management Association.

Dr. Efstratios Katakos

Dr. Efstratios Katakos is an executive consultant for D.A.E.M. SA, the City of Athens . Additionally, from 2015 and onwards, he is a coordinator of the political group “The Right to the City.” . He is an educator, a biologist with graduate and post-graduate studies in the teaching biology and graduate studies in information technologies. His expertise lays with European projects, IT projects and the reengineering of public and private organizations.

Dr. Heracles Moskoff

Dr. Heracles Moskoff, PhD, London School of Economics, serves as a Minister Expert Counsellor at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Greece. Dr. Moskoff has been appointed as National Rapporteur of Greece on combating Human Trafficking and Modern Slavery, since 2013. His four year tenure was renewed by the Foreign Minister until 2021.  Throughout his diplomatic career, Heracles has been spearheading Greece's commitments to Human Security and Human Rights. His main field of interest and expertise is Migration policy and the 'national ownership' of best practices such as Public Private Partnerships, inter-agency cooperation, raising public awareness, educating competent authorities and tackling the 'demand side' of Human Trafficking. Dr. Moskoff is also a member of the National Council Against Racism and Intolerance and of the Greek National Commission for Human Rights. Prior to his current position he worked with Hellenic AID (Agency for International Development /Foreign Ministry), with the Migration Policy Institute, as a lecturer at Panteion University, and has written and published extensively.

Alexandros Kambouroglou – Executive Director

Alexandros has  spearheaded  the philanthropic public-private collaboration model in Greece, including leading the City of Athens’ strong partnerships with Bloomberg Associates, the Rockefeller Foundation (as one of its 100 Resilient Cities), and C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group, as well as the creation of the Athens Partnership.

Previously, Alexandros worked as journalist, producer and managing editor for major Greek and U.S. media outlets, which included NBC News, Greek National Television, Mega Channel and Antenna TV. He also launched and directed production and media companies and directed communications and programming for non-profit educational institutions, including Hellenic Public Radio in New York City and Athens Information Technology Center for Excellence in Research and Education in Greece. He holds a BA from Grinnell College and an MS from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.

Natalie Weeks – Strategy and Partnerships Director

Before joining the Athens Partnership, Natalie was the Deputy Bureau Chief for Bloomberg News in Athens, Greece (2008-2013). She oversaw the scaling up of the office and was part of the core team of correspondents covering the European crisis, since the onset of the Greek financial crisis and the Cyprus bailout. Since 2017, she is a volunteer career mentor for undergraduates at the American University of Paris. She holds a BA in History, with a minor in Art History, from Boston University and an MA in Global Communications from the American University of Paris. Natalie is also the Bloomberg Associates City Project Manager for the City of Athens.

Alexis Filias – Finance and Administration Director

Alexis holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and has studies in Finance and Management. His extensive corporate finance experience started in 1992. Alexis has worked as Chief Accountant, Financial Controller, CFO and Head of Finance in numerous companies in the construction and media & advertising industries. He is a Certified Accountant (A’ Class) and a member of the Economic Chamber of Greece. Alexis joined AP as Finance & Administration Director in July 2017.

Dimitris Grigoriadis – Program Manager

Dimitris more than a decade of experience in project management, event planning and publishing. He has expertise in administrative processes, organization, managing relationships and successfully implementing project strategies. Dimitris oversaw the publishing of more than 20 books at Hartini Poli Editions and while working as an Account Executive at mscomm tracked budgets and was part of the team that managed relationships with clients including the European Commission, MSD pharmaceuticals and Diageo. He holds a BA in Greek Literature with a major in Linguistics from the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens and an MA in Mass Communication from London Metropolitan University.
